We had the good fortune of connecting with Zero and Omega Miligan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zero and Omega, why did you pursue a creative career?
Upon a young age, we have always enjoyed singing together and recreating movie scenes. It didn’t matter if we were in public or not. We soon took notice that people always had a bit of an fascination with identical twins. Even when we were separate, we became known as “The Twins”. At first it built resentment. It led to Zero joining the marching band and Omega leaving the school band for choir. We did everything we could to seem different but in the end it didn’t really work. Some people will only know us as twins and that’s fine. Soon after school Zero used his knowledge to pursue producing music and his own band. During this time Omega discovered he enjoyed storytelling and video making. It wasn’t until we started creating that people got our differences. Our work allows us to bring out the best in our individual skills. It allows us to really showcase our personalities while building together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up as identical twins, that is all we were known for. We wanted to be known for our individual personalities that shine past our looks. However, we wouldn’t change anything for the world. The bond that we share allows our work to fall in sync with our personalities to create at our best level. It is a blessing to have someone that just understands you without having to over explain things. (Yes, we can read each other’s minds). Originally, we started filming live performances and music videos. Since Zero had his own band, he developed skills to master music; therefore it gives an advantage to having cleaner audio. A big part of video producing is sound, and this helps our transition to making our own shorts and skits. We’re excited for what is to come. Even as we speak, we’re working on our first major short. We’ve always wanted to be at a point where we can work on films. In the beginning it was tough, just because we had no idea where to start nor the resources. We had to start from scratch and learned all the skills to use from trial and error. We spent hours, even days, teaching ourselves instruments, programs, and visual effects to decide what is the best outcome for our brand(passions). Not only did we have to work on our physical skills, we had to improve our social aspects. Oftentimes, we would find ourselves struggling to familiarize our environments but we had to push through and endure it to learn from it. Sometimes you can get clients that expect more than you are capable of. It is important to remember in this line of work to have the power to say no, making it the most important lesson to learn. Learning to say no and stay within your abilities will get you a lot farther in anything you do. The new piece of gear isn’t going to make your work better if you don’t have the skills or mindset to put it to good use. As a video producer, you have to remember to use what you have to the fullest and appreciate the little things. As a result, our brand is going to represent our hard work and dedication to our dreams. “DO WHAT YOU IMAGINE” is more than just our motto, it is our goal. In order to be able to create people’s perfect dreams, we have to make imagination meet reality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are big foodies. We love trying new foods and experiencing new cuisines at least once to say we had it! I would take my best friend to Ari BBQ (Plano, Tx) which is korean barbeque that is cooked in front of you, Kurobuta (Carrollton, Tx) which has the best ramen I’ve had around in DFW, and Amoretto’s Italian Kitchen (Plano, Tx), which is a mom and pop shop that is literally the sweetest family ever. If we aren’t eating, then we will be out in the city. One of our favorite activities are escape rooms. We love the mystery and adrenaline that you get when you solve clues. We’d end the day by catching a show in Deep Ellum from Three Links to Club Dada.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our good friends “Van Full Of Nuns”. Even though we had the skills, we lacked the motivation to get started especially after covid. We filmed one of their shows as a one off and realize how much we still wanted to do this line of work. More importantly, it showed us we could. Continuing to work with these guys allowed us to make an extended family and more connections in our industry. We were able to grow more, not only from the advice they gave, but from the practice we got. We love working with these guys and even as we do our own projects now, they will always be a factor into our success. You can have all of the skill in the world but without drive or guidance you will be stuck no where.
