We had the good fortune of connecting with Achelle Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Achelle, how do you think about risk?
In my experience, having an immense amount of faith allowed me to take risks most would be afraid of. I quit a pretty stable job with no plan in mind because I knew the plan God had for me was beyond my realm of thinking at that time. There would be inconveniences, and struggles, but as long as I held strong to my faith in God, my ancestors, and this beautiful vast universe I knew the possibilities for me were limitless.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The name of my business is Noels Divine Creations. and I custom create copper wrapped crystal pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, hair jewels, etc. Every piece is unique and designed to uplift the frequency of the wearer to match the energy of the crystal. My pieces are a holistic approach to feeling lighter, protected, and realigned with a balanced aura.

After 8 years of studying the metaphysical properties and holistic benefits of crystals, I now setup at various pop up shops and markets between Miami and Dallas. Customers who attend my pop ups, can purchase a product I have already wrapped or pick a crystal and I wrap it for them while I’m there.

I am a full time artist but my journey to this place was not an easy one. After 8 years in the military, a Nutrition degree, and a pretty stable job I still felt unsatisfied so I took a leap of faith and quit my job to allow the spirit, time and space to shift me in the right direction. AI was doing Uber and in the middle of my order my car was stolen. In that quick moment I felt like I lost everything. No car, no income, and to top it off my roommate just skipped out on me. I was faced with a decision to either fly or fold and I chose to fly. I had no idea what I was going to do but I had faith that spirit was at work here. This is what I asked for. It is important to understand that when we ask spirit to intervene into our lives, we must surrender and be willing to accept whatever trials come our way. It is not easy but we must trust that everything happening is putting us in alignment with our divine purpose. A few days later I started receiving offers to be a vendor at a few events around Dallas and at this point creating jewelry was only a hobby I posted about briefly online. I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and once I did, I have been abundantly blessed pursuing my passion relentlessly ever since.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting Dallas I would first take them to the Dallas Farmers Market. I am obsessed with the vegan food vendors and fresh produce. I would then take them to the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market for some shopping with the locals. Supporting local artists is top priority to me.

While in Deep Ellum we would hit up a local bar for live music and Tiki Loko, my fave vegan taco spot that just so happens to have the best smoothies as well! Later that evening we would check out Dallas Poetry Slam for Open Mic and vibes ( Located at FIVE Bistro and Bar off Botham Jean Blvd) or the AT&T discovery District. for drinks and appetizers in the beautifully decorated grass seating areas.

This is a beautiful city full of art, music, and culture. Impossible to explore all of its magic in one day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my soul tribe for listening to me cry and panic during my moments of doubt and holding me up when I lost hope. To my brother Corey for pulling me out of my depression with the endless laughs and words of encouragement. To my friend Teca for seeing me when I thought my pain was invisible, To Ashlei for praying for me constantly and convos that put my mind at ease, To Beenie for calming my storms with support and reassurance, To Lina, Dez, Brittni you all have been my rock when I felt like I was LOSING it. whether it was $20 or a 20 minute conversation I could always count on you, The hardest part of my journey has been my mental battles and each one of you contributed to my journey in a way that changed me for the better. I love you to the moon and back and I appreciate you for doing this thing called life with me.
