We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Johnson III and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a young entrepreneur, starting my own business I wanted to bring a bigger impact to the fashion industry. I wanted to separate the idea of street brands and high luxury, with still giving equal respect to both. Remembering the individuals that are less fortunate as well, I wanted to give high levels of fabrics to resemble high fashion as reasonable prices.

What should our readers know about your business?
I take pride in the name of my company, the meaning goes beyond the stereotypes. Respecting the brand sometimes is understanding it, so my mission is to spread awareness. Being player is taking care of your business within the household as well as outside. That includes taking care of and checking in with family, while also maintaining the business end of things financially. Being true to yourself, and standing tall with dignity. I want the world to know that this is a movement, a journey; and the goal is a better way of living for all of us.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an individual that has resided in dallas for 6+ years, there is so much you could plan for a week vacation. However, within northdallas specifically I would say to definitely go visit Legacy west. They offer a great selection of high end shopping, with multiple options for food. If we are speaking downtown dallas, I would recomend Deep ellum, there you will find a strip perfect for music, clubs and dining.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When we speak of inspiration, I instantly think of my mothers side of the family: my uncle Sterlon Robinson. When it comes to the Robinson family, they’re all entrepreneurs. I followed my uncle at a young age, watching him rise to the top establishing himself and making a name for himself as a business owner. Not only has he been successful at creating a name for himself, he has created opportunities for others when it comes to Gorilla Grind located in Atlanta, GA. When it comes down to it, a great role model can take you far in life. Thanks Unc.
