Hi Shana, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel that every entrepreneur is a Risk taking. Think about it, we are taking a single thought and expanding it to become something way bigger than we could image. We at least that’s how my story goes. I took a single complement that stuck in my head for about a whole month And decided to act up on it. At that point I had no idea that people was actually paying attention to the way I dressed when I’m out. So after thinking about the conversation I ran with it. Then Covid-19 hit, everything was shut down and we was all on quarantine not knowing how long we would actually be shut down and quarantine that’s when I really started thinking yes I need to get my business off the ground by any means. Life has really changed the way we knew it and I know that things will never be the same again so I start taking entrepreneurship seriously. It took about a month to find the perfect name and vendors. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew it had to be done and money had to be spent to make this work So I took what I have ordered my first couple of outfits and I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. And here we are today. I have a location and a website And you can google us.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The name of my business is Konceited Kloset where we sell women’s clothing and accessories. I think what sets Konceited Kloset apart from everyone else is that my inventory is different the stuff I choose to sell I might be the only one or the first one selling it. Now don’t get me wrong there are plenty of hot boutiques in Dallas but Konceited Kloset is just different. How did I get to where I am today, a lot of sleepless nights I remember at the beginning I spend a lot of time searching for inventory searching for items that’s unique and no one else has I do the same thing now it’s just not as hard for me now as it was at the beginning. There was a lot of challenges I had to overcome like at the beginning I really didn’t know which direction I want my store to go in because it was so many other boutiques out there that has been in the game way longer than me and I just have to find my own lane as you can say. I have learned so much about me and my business the way it started and they way it is now is main blowing to me and it’s scary because I am nowhere near done I just now getting my feet wet. So everyone please keep a look out for Konceited Kloset we can only get better. We have also teamed up with Beauty and Beyond and created The Hive. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So if I friend would come in to town and want to see what my amazing city had to offer I would definitely have to take them to The Hive of course. To get something to wear from Konceited Kloset and a wig from beauty and Beyond. Then we are going to wild turkey to eat and drink me and my girls love it there the food and drinks are awesome. The we would headed to Duncanville to Legends Bar & Grill on a Saturday night to check out my boy DJ Skip and enjoy a couple of cocktails and music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my family. I am a mother of four and a wife. and also I would like to set out to my true family and friends that’s always encouraging me and also some Facebook friends that I’ve never met that always sends me encouraging word through my inbox all of them keeps me going. And they always come through for me every time I think I’m not doing enough and I need to do more it never fails someone randomly inbox me, text me or called me telling me how good a job that I’m doing and they are proud of me. I love it.
