We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Lancaster Jae Carpenter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsay Lancaster, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
This business grew out of something we were already doing for our families. Taking our mundane and making it memorable. We love to have fun. Being stay at home moms, BL2 has been the best outlet for that creative fun. We’ve always loved to create. Growing up making jewelry, coloring, making things with our hands. Doing what we do does not feel like work. It’s fun. It’s accomplishing. To contribute financially to our families is a bonus. It’s the best feeling ever to create something from nothing and put it out there for people to enjoy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What makes BL2 unique is the ability to create anything you can dream up. Our bucket lists have traveled with families, celebrated retirements, encouraged during hard times, insured family traditions for the holidays and so much more. One of the greatest joys of creating personalized bucket lists is the opportunity to celebrate the individual and the family to focus on what’s important…the relationship.

Our original bucket lists have helped families spark ideas for new traditions; such as baking Christmas cookies, not so random acts of kindness, sitting with family and enjoying hot chocolate together, so on and so on.

We want the world to know you can sprinkle joy in the mundane of every day life!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh how fun! A day in the life of Jae and Lindsay of Bucket List Living:
drop kids at school
pick up coffee from White Rock Coffee or Lalaland kind cafe
grab a celery juice from Juiceland and an everything bar for later
ride our peloton or go to Lifetime or walk white rock lake
eat one of everything at smokey rose
wander across the street to the arboretum
swing by favor the kind, paper affair, Tyler’s, the littlest things, dear Hannah, logos, cotton island, Gemma collection
pick up a cookie and diet cherry coke from JD’s
pick kids up from school
go do homework at lakeside park or flagpole hill
dinner at cedar and vine and dessert at Andy’s or crisp & green and dessert at I heart yogurt…..

places we def would want to hit up throughout the week:
klyde warren park
shug’s bagels
LDU coffee – iced coffee + skillet banana bread
sonic – large iced water with extra strawberries
nails at castle nails
get a fresh cut/color by John Boerger at Blow or Tiffani Cooper/ Sylvia Tovar at Larc Salon
go get a massage at Foot Therapy
grab a swanky dinner at Drake’s

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Before we ever started BL2 ,our husbands have supported us taking a chance and just going for it no matter the outcome. Their support helped launch us from just a dream into reality. Our kids have been so precious…they are so proud to tell their friends about bucket list. They love to help brainstorm ideas, create and be a part of BL2! Without our families bucket list living would have never come to fruition.

Our friends have been our biggest cheerleaders! They are all in…buying, creative ideas, sharing with others and celebrating along side us. They’ve encouraged us to keep on keeping on! We can never thank them enough!
