We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Bechthold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve worked in the aesthetic field in just about every role you can imagine — from front office coordinator to office manager, operations manager, and eventually as a licensed aesthetician on the provider side. Wearing all those different hats gave me a 360-degree view of the industry and confirmed that aesthetics was where I belonged.

As I started consulting for practices, I saw firsthand that while the industry was thriving, there was a huge gap when it came to compliance and patient safety. Nobody was filling that space in a way that was practical, approachable, and tailored to aesthetics. I realized that if I could help providers not only run successful businesses but also stay protected, safe and compliant, I could make a real difference. That’s when my journey as an entrepreneur began in 2021.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Aesthetic Compliance Experts (ACE) was created because I saw a gap no one else was filling – compliance. In aesthetics, everyone focuses on treatments, branding, and growth, but very few talk about the legal side: the state laws, the protocols, the delegation, the signage. I realized providers needed more than just guidance, they needed tools that were easy to use, tailored to aesthetics, and built to last.

That’s how the ACE disc system was born. Instead of handing clients a boring stack of papers, I designed state-specific compliance manuals bound in our signature disc format. They’re structured, organized, and beautiful, something a clinic can be proud to display while also knowing it’s 100% functional and audit ready. Our disc bound manuals are more than binders; they’re a symbol of professionalism, credibility, and peace of mind.

What sets us apart is that every single manual we create is specific to the laws of that state and formatted in a way that makes compliance approachable. Our clients aren’t just getting paperwork, they’re getting a system, a structure, and a brand that stands behind them.

Getting here wasn’t easy. There were setbacks, plenty of late nights, and a lot of learning curves. But what kept me going was the vision of creating something unique that the industry had never seen before. I’m most proud that we’ve built a product and a brand people recognize instantly, when you see an ACE disc on a shelf, you know that clinic takes compliance seriously.

The lesson I’ve learned along the way is that innovation doesn’t always have to be flashy, sometimes it’s about rethinking the basics. A manual might not sound exciting, but in our format, it becomes a powerful tool that protects practices, elevates patient trust, and helps providers sleep at night.

What I want the world to know is simple: compliance doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. With ACE, it’s structured, it’s elevated, and it’s done for you. Our motto says it best — ‘Don’t risk it, just disc it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to town, we’d head straight to downtown Grapevine. It’s the heartbeat of the city! Live music drifting from the patios, boutique shops lining Main Street, and something fun happening every weekend. We’d start with coffee and pastries at a local café, then wander through the farmers market to pick up fresh finds and soak up the atmosphere.

By afternoon, we’d pop into the shops for unique gifts and do a little wine tasting at one of the local wineries. Dinner would be somewhere with great food and live music, because Grapevine knows how to blend both.

If it were the holidays, there’d be no question, we’d dive into the magic of Christmas in Grapevine. The lights, the parades, the music, the whole town transforms into something out of a movie. It’s hands-down one of my favorite times of year here.

Over the course of a week, I’d mix it up with relaxed mornings, afternoons exploring Main Street, and evenings full of music, food, and fun. Grapevine has this way of making even an ordinary Tuesday feel special and that’s exactly what I’d want my best friend to experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest shoutout goes to my husband, my kids, and my family. My husband has never once doubted me or questioned my vision — and that kind of unwavering support has been such a gift. Having someone who believes in you 100% makes all the difference when you’re building something from the ground up.

My kids are another huge source of motivation. They inspire me every day to keep going, to show them what it looks like to dream big and work hard for it. And my family as a whole has been my steady support system, always encouraging me and reminding me that I can do this.

The truth is, ACE wouldn’t be here without them. Every milestone and every win belongs to all of us.
