Meet Jazmyn Nobles

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazmyn Nobles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazmyn, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am originally from Dallas, Texas, and my upbringing shaped not only who I am as a person but also the way I show up as a therapist. Growing up in this city, I experienced both the beauty and the challenges of living in a diverse community. I saw firsthand how access to resources, cultural understanding, and supportive spaces could make or break someone’s ability to thrive.
My early environment taught me resilience. It showed me how to adapt, advocate for myself, and work hard for the things I wanted. It also gave me a deep awareness of how systems and biases can impact people’s mental health, especially in Black and Brown communities. These experiences instilled in me a responsibility to create safe, culturally responsive spaces where clients feel understood and valued.
That foundation has influenced my entire career. It is why I am intentional about meeting people where they are, speaking in ways that feel real and relatable, and breaking down the barriers that make therapy feel intimidating. My background is not just part of my story. It is a tool I use every day to connect, empower, and help others rewrite their own narratives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is built on the belief that therapy should be authentic, culturally responsive, and truly client-centered. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy with a focus on helping clients navigate life transitions, heal from trauma, improve relationships, and build healthier coping strategies. What sets me apart is my ability to meet people exactly where they are, without judgment or pretense. I bring my full self into the therapy room, blending professionalism with realness so clients feel safe, understood, and empowered from day one.
I am most proud of the fact that my business has grown through genuine connection and word of mouth. Clients often tell me they were referred by someone who felt truly seen and supported in our work together. That tells me I am doing something right. I am also excited about continuing to expand my reach through digital platforms and creating mental health resources that people can access outside of traditional sessions.
Getting to where I am today was not easy. The road to building a private practice required years of education, over 3,000 supervised hours, and the resilience to keep going when life threw curveballs. Stepping away from my hours to become a mom was one of the hardest decisions I made, and returning took discipline and patience. I rebuilt my caseload from scratch, re-established my momentum, and learned to balance my roles as a mother and a business owner.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that there is no one right timeline for success. The breaks, detours, and challenges along the way have made me a better therapist and business owner. They have given me compassion for the fact that everyone’s journey is different, and that slow progress is still progress.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: this work is personal to me. I am here to create a safe space where people can tell their stories, work toward change, and see that healing is possible. My business is not just about providing therapy sessions. It is about building trust, breaking stigma, and walking alongside my clients as they take steps toward becoming the best version of themselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit Dallas for a week, I would want them to leave feeling like they had the perfect mix of culture, great food, and relaxation. We would kick things off at Soirée Coffee Bar, a Black-owned coffee shop with amazing drinks and a smooth, inviting atmosphere, then head to GoldenBlk Candle Lounge for a candle-making session where we could create our own scents and enjoy a laid-back vibe. I would make sure we spent some time in Bishop Arts District exploring the boutiques and grabbing lunch at a locally owned spot, and we would also have to stop in Uptown for dinner at Haywire, which has great food in a chill setting. Shopping at The Shops at Legacy West would be on the list for a mix of high-end and trendy stores, along with some delicious bites along the way. We would add in a visit to the African American Museum of Dallas for a cultural experience, enjoy dessert from Kookie Haven, and spend some downtime at a Black-owned spa or wellness studio for self-care. To wrap up the trip, we would have Sunday brunch at Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley before taking a walk through Klyde Warren Park for fresh air, food trucks, and people-watching. Dallas has so many fun and inspiring places to experience, but the Black-owned businesses here truly make the city feel special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have played a role in my journey, but I would have to dedicate my shoutout to my family, especially my mother. She has been my constant source of encouragement, grounding, and truth-telling. From the very beginning, she believed in me even when I doubted myself, and she reminded me that rest and support are not luxuries, they are necessities.
I also have to acknowledge my close circle of friends who have been my sounding board through every stage of my career and personal life. They have celebrated my wins, sat with me through setbacks, and reminded me of my worth on the days I questioned it.
Lastly, I want to recognize my mentors and colleagues in the mental health field who modeled authenticity and cultural competence in ways that gave me permission to do the same. Watching them serve their clients with integrity and heart helped shape my own approach to therapy and leadership.
Every success I have is tied to the love, guidance, and support of these people. They are the foundation that has allowed me to grow into the person and professional I am today.
