We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Tammia Guest, D.C. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Tammia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As Dr. Tammia Guest, D.C., my decision to start my own chiropractic office stemmed from a deep desire for both freedom and flexibility—not just for myself, but for my patients as well. I’ve always believed that true healing takes time, personalization, and an environment that isn’t rushed or restricted by rigid corporate systems. Starting my own practice allowed me to create that kind of environment.

I wanted to build a space where I could practice chiropractic care the way I envisioned—holistic, patient-focused, and wellness-driven. Having my own business meant I could dedicate the necessary time to each individual, truly listen to their needs, and implement wellness strategies that extended beyond just spinal adjustments.

Additionally, entrepreneurship has given me the freedom to innovate, whether that’s introducing advanced wellness technologies, creating custom treatment plans, or setting hours that support both my clients’ needs and my own well-being. It was also important to me to have the flexibility to grow, to expand services, and to collaborate in ways that serve the community more meaningfully.

Ultimately, I started my own chiropractic office because I wanted to serve people in a way that aligned with my values—compassion, empowerment, and results. It’s been one of the most rewarding decisions of my professional life.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on this journey is the power of connection. As a chiropractor, business owner, and community advocate, I’ve realized that success isn’t just about what you know—it’s also about who you surround yourself with. Networking and meeting new people have opened doors I never could’ve imagined. Whether it’s learning from mentors, connecting with other entrepreneurs, or building relationships with patients and professionals in my community, those connections have been key to both my personal and professional growth.

I want the world to know that my story is built on faith, perseverance, and people. My brand isn’t just about adjustments—it’s about helping others feel seen, heard, and empowered in every area of life. I believe in showing up with purpose, building genuine relationships, and always finding ways to serve with integrity and heart.

At the end of the day, it’s the people I’ve met and the lives I’ve touched that define the success of my story—not just the milestones or titles. And I hope that through my journey, others are inspired to believe in themselves, build meaningful connections, and never stop growing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When guests come to town, I love treating them to a fun and memorable experience around Frisco and Dallas. I usually start by taking them to brunch at Ascension Coffee at The Star—it’s the perfect spot to kick off the day with great food and vibes. From there, we explore The Shops at Legacy or Bishop Arts District for some boutique shopping and local charm. I always make sure to include a little luxury or foodie stop, like dinner at Gemma or Trick Rider for an unforgettable meal. And if they’re sports fans, we definitely catch a Mavericks basketball game or a Cowboys event at The Star. Whether it’s cheering courtside or relaxing over good conversation, I love creating moments that leave my guests feeling like they’ve truly experienced the best of DFW.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family. Their unwavering support, love, and belief in me made all the difference in my journey. Starting and growing a chiropractic practice hasn’t always been easy, but knowing I had my family cheering me on every step of the way gave me the strength to keep going—even during the hardest moments.

They’ve been my sounding board, my prayer warriors, and my biggest motivators. From helping me with late-night office setups to encouraging me when I questioned myself, their support has been the foundation behind my success. I’m beyond grateful for their sacrifices, encouragement, and constant reminders of my purpose. This journey is just as much theirs as it is mine.

I also want to give special recognition to Dr. Patty Cates, D.C., who played a pivotal role in shaping me into the chiropractor I am today. As my clinic doc, she went above and beyond to not only teach me hands-on chiropractic techniques but also share real-world business knowledge that most people don’t learn until they’re years into practice. Her mentorship helped me understand how to build, grow, and manage a practice with confidence and purpose. She believed in me, challenged me, and led by example—and for that, I am forever grateful.
