Meet Savannah Strebor | Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Strebor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I created Savannah Strebor, I wasn’t just picking a business name, I was saving myself. I knew I didn’t want to change my first name, but my last name? It never felt like mine after receiving it. It didn’t carry me forward or reflect who I was becoming. So, I built something new — on my own.
Strebor became my escape, my second skin. I wanted it to be more than just a name; I wanted it to be more than just a modeling brand and it did exactly that. It became a home. A place where I could be creative, strong, and entirely myself. I envisioned it as a boutique, a familiar face, an open inbox, a space where anyone could feel safe and seen. The first time I saw the large double “S” of Savannah Strebor printed on media and sold as signed prints, I felt something shift inside me. Like my younger self was reaching out, whispering, “We made it.” And in that moment, I knew.. Strebor wasn’t just a modeling business name. It was the love letter to myself that I had been waiting to write as a small town girl.
And after five years as Savannah Strebor, I finally feel like that little piece of this world understands me. I guess that’s the joy of running a business under a name that only exists in your own world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I never thought I’d be considered an artist, especially after my high school art teacher made a point to stop my mom at a sporting event and tell her I was “very bad at art.” What I didn’t realize then was that being an artist isn’t just about sketching. I may not be able to draw very well, but I can sew, loom knit, make clothes from patterns, and I’ve learned to envision photoshoots from a collaborative standpoint. Art comes in many forms, and I’ve found my own way to express it.
I feel the most cherished in those magical moments when I see my favorite queens like Vanessa Vanjie and Plastique Tiara blending fabrics and textures I never thought to combine, and suddenly, a vision comes to life. There’s something so special about that spark of inspiration, when beauty, style, and creativity all collide, and I get to channel that energy into my own work, making every photoshoot feel like a dream come true.
There were and still are moments of doubt, exhaustion, and plenty of lessons learned the hard way. I’ve had to fight for my worth, whether it’s fair modeling rates, competitive castings, or long bookings that barely cover the next stop in my travel. I’ve had to set boundaries and carve out a space that’s truly mine. But through it all, I’ve stayed true to my vision and that’s what I’m most proud of.
I learned that there’s no formula for modeling. No corporate ladder to climb or “employee of the month.” It’s a self-proclaimed title. There’s no official continuing education, just us practicing our facial expressions in the mirror, learning and growing in our own styles of modeling.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my bestie came to Dallas for a week, we made it the ultimate mix of history, food, and fun! First stop? A little true crime moment at Dealey Plaza to visit the JFK site and explore the Sixth Floor Museum. After wandering downtown and taking in the skyline, we grabbed brunch at Hamburger Mary’s in Oak Lawn for good food and even better vibes. The next day, we went full Texas with lunch at Whataburger (because it’s a must!) before spending the afternoon getting artsy at the Dallas Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Center. Of course, we squeezed in some vintage shopping, on the hunt for uranium glass, as always before ending the night with a fabulous fine dining experience at St. Martin, one of my all-time favorite hidden gems.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to the incredible photographers behind my 600+ shoots over the past five years… modeling still feels surreal. My success comes from my parents (who would prefer I have a job with health insurance, but hey.. I’m still here and healthy!!), my pride and joys (Bentley, Tiddles, Dew, Finley, and Penny, because their food bills keep me hustling), and my management and partner, who have given me more opportunities than any exclusive agency ever could.
