We had the good fortune of connecting with Rollin Riche$ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rollin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting AIP Studios wasn’t just a business move; it was a mission to create a safe, transformative space where artists could grow. From day one, the vision was to be more than just another studio rental; I wanted a place where artists of all kinds could walk in and feel supported, inspired, and understood.

AIP Studios is a hub for artist development, where you’re not just booking time—you’re stepping into a community that’s ready to nurture and elevate your talent. Here, artists find not just a space to record but a team invested in their journey, from refining raw ideas to creating polished projects. I wanted AIP to be a space where creativity isn’t judged or rushed, where artists can be vulnerable, take risks, and explore their sound or vision in a way that feels true to who they are.

Our 24/7 access and top-tier resources are part of it, sure, but what truly sets us apart is our dedication to fostering a safe, creative community. Whether you’re an emerging artist or a seasoned creator, AIP Studios is where you can find that critical support system, a place where you’re valued and empowered to grow. That’s the essence of what AIP is about—cultivating a space where art and community come together, so artists can build a legacy, not just a single track.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
AIP Studios—Always in Profit—reflects more than just our ambition; it’s a promise. We created AIP with the vision of not only being profitable ourselves but ensuring everyone around us is “always in profit” too, whether that’s financially, creatively, or personally. We want every artist, every client, and every collaborator who walks through our doors to feel like they’re leaving with more than they came in with.

What sets us apart isn’t just the state-of-the-art facilities or our round-the-clock accessibility; it’s our dedication to building a true community. We’ve crafted AIP Studios to be a safe, inspiring environment where artists feel seen and supported, where they can explore their craft without judgment or limitation. Here, you’re not just another booking—you’re part of a larger network that’s as invested in your growth as you are.

Getting here wasn’t easy. There were countless late nights, financial challenges, and moments where we had to get creative just to keep things moving. But every obstacle became a stepping stone. We learned to adapt, to find solutions instead of problems, and to rely on each other and our vision for AIP to pull us through. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that building a brand isn’t about doing what’s expected; it’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and staying true to your mission, no matter what.

I’m proud of where we are today, but I’m even more excited about where we’re going. AIP Studios isn’t just a business; it’s a legacy in the making. We want the world to know that we’re here to create something that lasts—a place where artists can grow, create, and profit in every sense of the word.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit DFW, I’d have a packed week lined up with a mix of the city’s best vibes, food, and unique spots that show off what North Texas has to offer. I’d start one of our evenings at the rooftop bar on top of the Sinclair Hotel around 7 pm to catch the sunset with some drinks. There’s something about the skyline at that hour that just hits differently—an experience you don’t get anywhere else. But before, for dinner, we’d have dinner at Japan House for their all-you-can-eat special, where the food is just as incredible as the atmosphere.

Throughout the week, I’d take them to some must-see places around DFW, like the Fort Worth Stockyards for a taste of Texas culture and some local history. We’d catch a rodeo, hit up Billy Bob’s for live music, and check out the unique shops in the area. During the day, I’d take them to the Dallas Museum of Art for a dose of creativity and then to Klyde Warren Park nearby to chill with some local food trucks and street performers.

I’d also plan a day in Deep Ellum, where we’d check out the street art, grab some tacos from a food truck, and stop by some of the local bars and live music venues. To keep things active, we’d hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve for a solid outdoor experience and amazing views, and maybe even take a drive out to Lake Grapevine to unwind by the water.

There’s so much out here in DFW, and honestly, I’m still uncovering new gems all the time since I just moved here about a year ago. The list keeps growing, and that’s part of what makes showing friends around so fun. Every visit becomes an adventure with something new to discover, from hidden local spots to city favorites.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, there’s no way I could talk about my journey without giving a huge shoutout to my business partner, Alante Hamlett. We met through mutual friends, but it didn’t take long before we realized we shared a vision and drive to build something much bigger than ourselves. From that point, we’ve fostered a relationship grounded in mutual respect, ambition, and an unwavering dedication to bringing AIP Studios to life.

Alante’s been there every step of the way, pushing me to think bigger and approach challenges with grit and resilience. Together, we’re not just building a business—we’re crafting a space that will endure, something that will stand the test of time and secure a future for our families while honoring the legacy we’re both determined to create. This journey has always been about more than just a studio; it’s about setting up a creative hub that empowers others and represents the values we believe in.

I owe so much of our success to Alante’s support and vision, and I’m grateful every day to have a partner who’s as committed to this dream as I am. This isn’t just business; it’s a shared legacy.
