We had the good fortune of connecting with Larry Allen II and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larry, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing about the music industry that outsiders are probably unaware of is the importance of networking and relationship-building. Success in the music industry often relies heavily on who you know and how well you can collaborate with others. This includes building relationships with producers, agents, managers, fellow artists, and even fans. While talent and hard work are crucial, having a strong network can open doors to opportunities, provide valuable support, and help navigate the complex and competitive landscape of the music industry.

What should our readers know about your business?
**Q: Please tell us more about your business.**

A: Industreets TV was founded in the Summer of 2019 after a conversation with my business partner and friend, Quindon Hall (Qthespeaker). We brainstormed ways to create news and informational media for underrepresented areas in Dallas. IndustreetsTV is your ultimate destination for culture, information, and art. We’re more than just a media company; we’re your #1 plug for celebrity news and entertainment. From exclusive interviews to behind-the-scenes vlogs and the dopest music video reactions, we bring our viewers the freshest in entertainment. We’re also the go-to source for Hip-Hop news, capturing the latest stories directly from the source with integrity and openness.

**Q: What sets you apart from others?**

A: What sets Industreets TV apart is our dedication to delivering authentic and unvarnished moments, whether from the red carpet or the streets. We pride ourselves on being on the scene, delivering the most recent updates. Our commitment to integrity and openness in reporting sets us apart, as does our focus on underrepresented areas in Dallas. Our collaborations with well-known media outlets and our ability to build strong relationships within the industry also distinguish us.

**Q: What are you most proud of or excited about?**

A: I am most proud of the recognition our content has received from major media outlets like HipHop DX, which reaches about 3.5 million readers monthly. They recently picked up our “Hot on the Block” interview with rapper Sauce Walka. I’m also excited about our continued collaborations with outlets like SayCheeseTV, No Jumper, Urban Politicians TV, XXL, BET, and more. These partnerships help us promote our clients and expose their brands to broader audiences.

**Q: How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?**

A: Getting to where we are today was not easy. The biggest obstacle we faced was accessing the resources and connections needed to build and solidify our brand within the entertainment industry. However, my relationships from attending New York University’s Tisch School of Arts Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and connections with industry professionals and members of the “Grammy U” academy helped overcome these challenges. These relationships have been instrumental in our growth and success.

**Q: What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?**

A: One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships both in and out of the industry. Collaboration and networking are crucial for growth and success. I’ve also learned that perseverance and adaptability are vital in overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities. Staying true to our mission of providing authentic and diverse content has also been a guiding principle.

**Q: What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?**

A: I want the world to know that Industreets TV is dedicated to highlighting and promoting the voices and stories of underrepresented areas in Dallas and beyond. Our mission is to create content that captures the essence of culture, information, and art with integrity and openness. We’re passionate about helping artists and creatives establish themselves and solidify their brands. Through our shows and segments, like “Hot on the Block,” we aim to provide a platform for emerging talent and deliver the freshest entertainment to our audience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to “Options”, a local vintage and streetwear boutique located in the Third Ward Downtown Houston area. Or we would go to The Houston Closet ran by Mike Mills, a vintage and exclusive clothing brand store above Johnny Dang’s Jewelry store. Once there we would check out some dope clothes and find some shades or hats to match some styles together. After that, I would take them to “Green Seed Vegan” a local vegan eatery in Houston’s Downtown area, and get some fresh dill cut fries and prickly pear juice. From there we could ride to a local graffiti park to snap some photos and film videos, and then hit “Waves” at “Avant Gard” to hear DJ CandleStick and DJ SkrechySkrach spin Larry June, and Chopped and Screwed Tapes and enjoy the music before they head out of town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I also follow younger creatives as well, like Michael Thomas who has a book out titled “Creative Against All Odds”, A book that gives great advice to young Black creatives, on how to be successful within the media industry. The work of the Michael Thomas contributed to my drive to integrate my love for film and music into one medium through my skill of filmmaking.

Also my business partner and friend, Quindon Hall (Qthespeaker) helped me solidify the idea to create my brand “Industreets TV” which brings our viewers the freshest entertainment, plus, we’re the go-to source for Hip-Hop & news for the culture, capturing the latest stories directly from the source with integrity and openness. Also would like to give a big shout out to my team at IndustreetsTV. I’ve also learned so much through working with industry partners such as Ronald Osborne CEO of Mukonii, a music tech service based business.
