We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Fountain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cody, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
One of the most pivotal decisions that contributed to my success, apart from deciding to work for myself, was starting at a very young age.
At the age of 19, while most of my peers were figuring out college life, I was juggling roles as a full-time production and quality control manager at a large floral warehouse. And if that wasn’t enough, I was also planting the seeds (quite literally!) for my own business. Crazy, right?!
Back in my twenties, while many were busy hitting the beach and going on fun trips, I was diving deep into the wedding industry, soaking up all the knowledge I could. Fast forward to today, at the age of 36, and I can confidently say I don’t regret a single moment! Those years of dedication and hard work were the nourishment that fed the roots of my success. And look at how it’s bloomed today!
What should our readers know about your business?
Let me take you on a journey through the heart of my business. What sets us apart is our years of experience and the diverse facets of our business. We’ve grown from focusing on floral arrangements to incorporating photography, and now, we’re proud to offer wedding planning and coordination services.
Each wedding we’ve been a part of has been a unique experience and a stepping stone in our journey. We’ve learned, adapted, and evolved with each event, perfecting the art of creating unforgettable moments.
Was the journey easy? Far from it! But every challenge was an opportunity to learn and grow. We’ve navigated through the industry, learning the ins and outs, and if there’s a service we don’t offer, rest assured, we know exactly who does and we can point you in the right direction.
So, what do I want the world to know about our brand? It’s simple. We’re not just a business, we’re a partner in making your special day truly memorable. We bring to the table years of experience, a passion for what we do, and a commitment to making each event uniquely beautiful. And we’re excited for what the future holds!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Where do we start? Well, first things first, we’re heading for some sushi and amazing BBQ – a culinary adventure that’s a must in our city!
But it’s not all about food. We’d also dive into the vibrant city life that’s grown exponentially over the years. From bustling markets to lively music festivals, there’s always something happening around every corner. Can’t forget some spicy Margaritas? Now that’s a treat!
Oh, and did I mention putting them to work a bit? Just kidding… or am I? 😊
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to take a moment to recognize the incredible network of support that has played a crucial role in my journey. First and foremost, a massive shoutout goes to my family and friends. Their unwavering belief in my dreams has been my anchor.
But the list doesn’t end there. Each and every customer and client relationship we’ve built over the years deserves a standing ovation. Their trust in us and their referrals have been the lifeblood of our growth. They’ve not just been clients, but partners in making this journey truly remarkable.
