We had the good fortune of connecting with Hope Thurston and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hope, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I believe many entrepreneurs have pondered this question at some point. There are times when you may feel invisible, unheard, and unrewarded, leading you to question various aspects of yourself and your business. Yet, during these moments, it is crucial to infuse your business with positivity and encouragement; otherwise, you might reach a breaking point and face potential failure. Over time, there has been a romanticized notion of what it means to be an entrepreneur. It involves hard work and challenges, but the results will ultimately be rewarding.

Every creative individual possesses their unique spark, contributing to the vibrancy of the industry. My focus is on ensuring a positive experience for everyone I collaborate with, even if it means navigating through chaotic days to meet deadlines. Whether it’s a photo session or booking for the 360 photobooth, we always strive to exceed expectations and make clients feel confident in their choice.
Reaching this professional milestone was a challenging journey. It required honing specific skills, understanding my entrepreneurial style, and building a solid client base. Currently, I am in the process of rebuilding my clientele after relocating to Dallas, and I’m excited to see the growth in the upcoming year.
Asking questions, connecting with like-minded individuals, and joining groups have been instrumental in overcoming obstacles by learning from others’ experiences and gaining valuable insights. Throughout this journey, I have embraced numerous lessons. One key takeaway is not dwelling on mistakes but focusing on improvements for the future.
Eyedeal Visuals is widely recognized for photography and the 360 photobooth, but we also undertake diverse projects such as social media management, paint and sip parties, modeling, small event planning, and styling. Chanell and I form a dynamic duo, ready to tackle any project that comes our way.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Only my most favorite person ever, Chanell Hayes. Initially, Eyedeal Visuals was known as Eyedeal World, a concept I had for creating a network for young adult women, though it never materialized. Fast forward a few years, my passion for photography reignited, and with Chanell’s love for modeling, the journey began. She became my primary model, attracting more clients to book sessions. We had countless photo shoots, paving the way for my dream of adding a photo booth to the business, which we now run together. It has been a fun experience as we are still new to the DFW area, enjoying the opportunity to meet people from around the globe.
