We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasneem Kagalwalla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tasneem, what is the most important factor behind your success?

Inspirational speaker, Simon Sinek talks about knowing your ‘Why’ before you figure out the ‘How’ and ‘What’ in your business or brand. I resonate with this belief.

Knowing your “why” is the most important factor behind the success of any endeavor.

My ‘why’ is to help people be the best version of themselves, personally or professionally. It is to empower individuals to lead their ideal lives with authenticity and purpose.

3 reasons my WHY is most important to me:

  1. My ‘why’ motivates me. Any kind of success takes time, dedication, and hard work. My ‘why’ is the driving force that keeps me going and helps me stay disciplined when things get tough.
  2. My ‘why’ keeps me focused. It keeps me away from distractions and helps me stay on track.
  3. Knowing my ‘why’ puts me in constant touch with my values and passion. It fuels my authenticity. All my goals are infused with this energy, and therefore, it facilitates producing better results for my clients, too.

I am determined to always be passion-fed and purpose-led!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
You are everything you chose to be – is my mantra. Taking care of your mental health is a choice. Growing though what you go through is a choice. Happiness is not a result; it is a choice. Therefore, choosing wisely is key.

My professional services help make those right choices.

Services I offer include:

Life Coaching: I take great pride in being the first ABNLP (American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming) certified Master Hypnotherapist, Coach, and Trainer in the state of Texas. Over 15 + years of practice, my specialization includes Teen Counseling, Relationship Coaching, and Couples Therapy. Helping children and adults overcome anxiety or depression are areas of therapy I actively work with. These challenges are on the rise, especially post the Covid pandemic.

Training: My programs are focused on providing life skills and simple solutions for all personal or professional objectives.
What distinguishes me from others is my flexibility to unique requirements, creating tailored programs. Additionally, Nuero Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the foundation of all my training programs. NLP training techniques facilitate double loop learning, engaging the conscious and subconscious mind, resulting in long-lasting positive outcomes.

Speaker: I continually look forward to speaking engagements that create shifts in thinking or motor self-motivation.

Through the years, my greatest rewards lie in the heartfelt messages and feedback received from clients. These testify to their pursuits of happiness and speak of their success stories. Those will always remain my biggest accolades.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

3 of my fav things to do in the city are:

  1. Go for a long drive towards Pilot Point in Sanger City. Views of sprawling ranches, grazing cattle, and open skies warm and refresh the mind, body, and soul.
  2. Visit family-owned restaurants. They have a homey vibe and serve up some of the best meals that could give fine dining a run for their money. Yummy Thai in Flower Mound and Yummy’s Greek Cuisine in Lewisville are my regular go-to spots.
  3. Go sit by a lake. Dallas boasts of many. A walk by the lakeside is a perfect way to wind down from a busy day. ‘The Sound’ at Olympus Boulevard has a lively vibe yet allows you to enjoy many of its peaceful corners, too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

Wow! There are too many people to applaud and appreciate.

My parents, my husband, my teachers, experts I learned under, and all those who made me happy or sad, gave me joy or caused me pain. They all helped shape my personality. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am. Indeed, I am thankful to all of them.

However, today, I’d like to especially credit Wendy Shaw, my Coach, Mentor, and Guide.

In my twenties, I was going through a rough phase. This was well before I started my career in this field. At a time when I could not see my own light, she let me stand in some of her own. She taught me that the womb of a crisis births an opportunity for a metamorphosis.

She always used to say, when faced with a calamity, ask, “Crisis or Opportunity?!”

Over time, this philosophy became the firm foundation I built my life upon. There has been no turning back since.
