We had the good fortune of connecting with Pasha Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pasha, what do you attribute your success to?
The primary driving force behind my entrepreneurial success has always been my determination, work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to being the absolute best, a mindset I’ve carried since my early years. Growing up as a competitive gymnast, I understood that being a young black kid in Alabama added an extra layer of competition. It was clear to me that I couldn’t settle for merely being good; I had to be great just to get noticed.

I’ve noticed a shift in mindset in the younger generation, with phrases like “everyone is a winner” and the prevalence of participation trophies. In my opinion, this approach can set young individuals up for failure in the real world. The competitive edge I cultivated from a young age has proven invaluable in my entrepreneurial journey.

At the age of 23, I transitioned this mindset into the world of entrepreneurship. I knew that to succeed in business, I had to be the best version of myself, so I committed myself to self-improvement. I devoured books, attended seminars, sought out the right mentors, and focused on personal growth.

This unwavering commitment allowed me to transform a meager $500 into a multi-million dollar business. I became a master in communicating effectively, digital marketing, and building strong professional relationships. I worked on perfecting my stage presence and leadership abilities. Most importantly, I learned to embrace failure and understand that countless “NO’s” are an integral part of the journey to reaching the ultimate “YES.”

My entrepreneurial success is rooted in my relentless pursuit of excellence, my determination to be the best, and my ability to view setbacks as opportunities for growth.

What should our readers know about your business?
Today my husband and I have built a highly successful business centered around collaboration, idea-sharing, and investments with fellow entrepreneurs.  We’ve carefully created an inner circle comprising business owners, CEOs, investors, influencers, and even newcomers embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys.  Our ultimate goal is to help every individual within this network become a more effective leader and achieve greater success in their chosen endeavors.

Some key lessons I’ve learned on this journey include:

1. “Your attitude determines your altitude.”
2. “If being who you are would get you what you want, you would already have it. Growth is a must.”
3. “Everyone falls, only winners get back up.”
4. “‘Yes’s’ build your business, but the ‘no’s’ build you.”
5. “Surround yourself with people that you have a common destination with.”
6. “You can’t build a million-dollar business with minimum wage work habits.”

Certainly, there were ups and downs. I built and lost huge teams, made and lost millions. But I never saw a downturn as a reason to mope; it was always an opportunity to learn. My unshakable belief in myself led me to a point where I knew I could start over with nothing and build a multi-million dollar business at any time. That’s when I realized I was on a different path from most people.

Moreover, because I built my wealth in the misunderstood industry of Network Marketing, many doubted my business model and thought I should take a more traditional and less risky approach to business. However, their skepticism only fueled my determination to succeed.

After two decades of massive success in Network Marketing, my husband and I shifted our focus to building multiple streams of passive income, which transformed our lives. The freedom of being an investor allowed us to travel the world and teach others the power of entrepreneurship and building generational wealth. That’s my story, and I hope it inspires you to chase your dreams relentlessly.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As an entrepreneur, I’ve navigated through the turbulent waters of business, faced challenges, and celebrated victories. Yet, the question I often encounter is, “Who has been your biggest supporter?” Without a moment’s hesitation, the answer is clear: my husband. We met in the business world when I was just 23, and since that pivotal moment, he has been the bedrock of my entrepreneurial journey.

His unwavering support has been my beacon, especially during tumultuous times. I recall an instance when I pursued a business idea that not only failed to generate income but also resulted in financial loss. Instead of expressing disappointment, my husband’s response was enlightening, “So, that one didn’t work. What’s next? Don’t worry about that.” This epitomizes his positive outlook and belief in me.

We’ve been business partners for over 25 years, and our professional relationship has beautifully intertwined with our personal life. We work from home, meaning we’re virtually inseparable. To many, this might sound daunting, but for us, it’s a fun, yet comforting, reality.

How do we manage to coexist harmoniously, you might wonder? The secret lies in three core principles:

1. **Team Mentality**: We’ve always viewed ourselves as a team, tackling life’s challenges together. This ‘us vs the status quo’ mindset has fortified an unbreakable bond, transforming our partnership into a formidable force.

2. **Effective Communication**: Learning the art of effective communication has eliminated the need for arguments. We’ve mastered the skill of discussing issues calmly and constructively. We are both ok admitting when we’re wrong, and we chose being happy over being right.

3. **Redefining Norms**: The societal narrative that argues disliking your spouse and constant arguments is normal doesn’t resonate with us. We believe that a harmonious relationship, devoid of constant arguments, should be the norm.

My husband’s support transcends mere encouragement; it’s a testament to the power of having a partner who truly believes in your dreams. In a world where entrepreneurial journeys can be lonely, his presence has been a reminder that with the right support, any challenge can be overcome. His faith in my abilities, even in the face of setbacks, has been a cornerstone of my success.
