Meet Gilde Flores | Music Composer/Producer/Supervisor/Executive

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gilde Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gilde, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal would definitely be to have provided opportunities and a platform(s) for others along the journey in which they can learn, evolve, and prosper in their own paths. Most times, when starting out, everything seems fuzzy and so many lanes to follow, which by taking the wrong ones, a lot of time is lost and often lead to more forks in the road. This was something I struggled with, especially not having the right mindset, so if there was a way for me to create a blueprint of my own path which would others could tweak, then that would have been my end goal completed.
By the end of my career, I would want, or rather, will be at a place of satisfaction, with a sense of accomplishment; knowing that I have done all I could have done in my power, leaving no stone unturned. I currently am adding to my list of goals now, and for the future, to make certain that they keep evolving and resulting in the same purpose as I stated earlier. So I have a great deal of work to do, but focused on seeing it all play out.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey to where I am today in the business as a self-taught composer from a rural area has been a testament to determination, passion, and the power of forging my own path. Despite not having formal training, I immersed myself in the world of music, honing my skills through relentless practice, experimentation, and a deep hunger to learn and excel.
This was not easy to achieve. Living in a rural area presented challenges in itself, but it also provided an opportunity to cultivate a unique perspective at being heard. Connecting with the industry’s giants was also something I had to maneuver through; since traditional networking avenues were not as accessible to me. So, I leveraged digital platforms and social media to showcase my work. By consistently sharing my compositions, engaging with fellow artists, and actively participating in online communities, I slowly but surely built a digital presence that caught the attention of industry professionals.
I’ve learned many lessons along the way, but a major key lesson, which also serves as a cornerstone of my success and business model, is collaboration. While I started alone, I recognized the value of teamwork. I reached out to other creatives, and through genuine connections and shared passions, I formed partnerships that expanded my reach. These values and lessons lead me to founding my production company, Paint the Noise; which is more of a collaborative force of creative individuals than just a production company.
What I would want the world to know about me is my story of resilience and perseverance. I’ve learned that anyone with the dream, and the right mindset and understanding that the journey is transformative, can live as their desired self, accomplishing anything they set their sights and vision on.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
On the first day, I would take them exploring Downtown Dallas starting at the Arts District, then head for lunch (West End District) at the Sixth Floor Museum, as I love the atmosphere. Later, we’d check out Klyde Warren Park, and definitely grab dinner at one of the food trucks, or nearby restaurants (Mi Cocina).
The second day, pay a visit to the Perot Museum, explore the Bishop Arts District, have lunch at ENO’s. Later
try and Catch a performance at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
The third day, check out the Heritage Village, the Aquarium, and have some drinks and food at Deep Ellum.
The fourth day, the Zoo, hopeful (depending on the dates) catch a Mavericks or the Stars, then off to a walk along the Trinity River Greenbelt Park.
The fifth day, head to Fort Worth for some good ol’ Texan BBQ (Red’s or Hickory Stick) and look around the Stockyards.
The sixth day, visit North Park Center, hang around, then the House of Blues.
The seventh day, hang out around Uptown Dallas, visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and have a nice dinner at the Design District; preferably at The Charles.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate the shoutout to a very special friend, Donnie “Bo” Sibley, who inspired me throughout my career to evolve, and actually the reason why I eventually decided to transition from an “individual” to a business owner. He contacted me weekly to make sure I was in evolution mode and made sure that I was up to speed on what was happening in the industry, what trends were about break, and how to leverage myself in about any arena. Sadly, we lost him at the top of this year, but everything he’s ever instilled in me is serving its purpose, as he has left an indelible mark in my career and life. I am committed to honoring his memory by pursuing excellence, making a positive impact, and carrying forward the wisdom he shared with me.
