We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my hair business was simply because I had a passion for doing hair, what pushed me further into making the final step was me going to someone to get braids and sis completely ripped my hair out the entire time no care was given no education on how to care for the braids or my hair seeing that it was my very first time even having weave so it drove me to want to educate myself more on how to take care of my own hair and do my own and to do the same for my clients. Not only doing great styles but also promoting hair growth taking care of your scalp exct. & teaching my clients on how to do the same for they’re hair.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe what sets me apart from others is that I will always show up and show out , my work is always consistent and I’m constantly teaching myself new thing to continue to future and grow in my field, always understanding that there’s something new I can learn. Always having great customer service I worked in customer service before doing hair and that’s something I definitely implemented into my business.

I’m most proud of where I’ve came so far having a consistent clientele and bonds which each client I have some clients now that have been coming to me for years now and they’ve also been able to watch me come out of shell.

I believe professional I’ve grown even further by marketing myself constantly on social media daily and just word of mouth through my clients.

It was definitely not easy, I’ve had a customer try to run out on payment I’ve had all type of situations that I’ve had to remain calm and deal with professionally for the sake of my business the only thing I can say truly got me through the challenges I’s
God, my husband & daughter and my mentor consistently reassuring during my hard times to keep going.

The lessons I’ve learned is that you can be nice but make sure your clients understand that what you do is not your side hustle it’s your full time job.

I would like for people to know that I truly care about what I do and that I’ll always be consistent in it as well. My brand is always inviting, comfortable, fun & consistent.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely would have to hit up The Goodtime daiquiris and get the catfish and brisket sandwich and a great daiquiri they never disappoint in any areas!

For fun we could checkout, Top golf, Kylie warren park, or the Viridian beach .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely have to shoutout someone who I’ve seen as a mentor this entire journey her name is Chelsea Moncrief she is in the same industry as me she has always been there to answer any questions I had always so polite and genuine we’ve never met face to face but that has never stopped her for always being there for me and truly giving great advice she truly is amazing!
