We had the good fortune of connecting with ivy salamanca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ivy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am a pediatric Physical Therapist and I have been practicing for a little over 11 years now. One day I asked myself… What if I open up my own private practice and not let the third party payer (insurance) dictate the progress and medical necessity of my clients?

I want to make a difference- it sounds very cliche but I really want to make an impact in every child that I will treat in my practice.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am first time mom and I have been practicing as a pediatric physical therapist for almost 12 years now. My husband is also a physical therapist specializing in sports and orthopedic side of rehab.

As a mom and as a Physical therapist- I think I understand each parents’ desires and aspirations for their children. And this is the reason why I think I am the best at what I do . I don’t easily give up try to see a rainbow in every situation whether it is good or bad.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would bring my best friend to my house in Plano to have a hearty home cooked breakfast. After that I would take her to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve to go on a hike-after that we could probably head to Korean town in Carrolton to have some coffee and enjoy the rest of the day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to create a shoutout to Parents! Mama and Papa- they did everything can could do to raise me and my other 2 sisters well.

During my later 20s, I discovered Dave Ramsey- I followed his financial principles and he made a huge impact of who I am now as a professional
