We had the good fortune of connecting with Baleigh Rollins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Baleigh, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always loved being creative and serving people. When I fell into the wedding industry, I knew it was my place. I get to be creative and serve couples on one of the most important days of their lives. When starting within the industry with my own business, I knew I wanted to go full-time with the business and set myself apart from many in the wedding industry.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Around here, we say goodbye to those awkward, overly-posed wedding day photos. My goal is to make time with couples more than just a photo session or wedding photos. It’s more like hanging out with your personal hype girl. It’s my job to make each couple and person feel comfortable in front of the lens while telling their love story through the images I take. I strive for each photo to remind them and their family of a moment and memory.

Breaking through in the wedding industry is hard; breaking through in the western wedding industry is even more challenging. I have always had a goal to serve the community I am part of, this being the western lifestyle. I have now reached that goal; my brand and business are about capturing not only a western wedding day but also the western roots, cowboy heirlooms, + wild love that many share. It is such an honor getting to go to so many family farms and ranches and capture photos in such a personal location for the couples.

My piece of advice for anyone looking to dive deep into the wedding industry is to find your people, find your niche and hit the ground running. Not every couple is for you; understanding is the biggest and best lesson to learn.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I come from a classic small town where we never lock the door, and you always know the car next to ya at the one + only roll-through stop sign in town. A weekend home would have a lot of pasture rides in a feed truck to check on the cattle, the fishing hole, and momma’s sweat tea. If we get out, lake Texoma is a hot spot just to cruise around; heading into town for some City Limit’s salsa is usually on a weekend trip.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Western Wedding community is such a small + tight niche industry to be in. If I had to shout out anyone, it would be all the ranchers, farmers + small town couples for all their suppose in building my business + brand. Trusting someone to capture a wedding day is no small shoe to fill.
