We had the good fortune of connecting with Belle Grubb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Belle, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Inspiration is the theme of all I do. Whether I am creating content for a company or recording a podcast episode for Inspired Lady, I aim to inspire those around me not just to feel more motivated but be equipped to act on it. Podcasts inspire me every single day in this way, and that is one of the main reasons I chose to start my own. A few podcasts that I listen to every week include the Skinny Confidential by Lauren and Michael Bosstick, Note To Self by Payton Sartain, What We Said by Jaci Smith and Chelsey Curtis, and WHOA by Sadie Robertson. Books that inspire me include The Power of One More by Ed Mylett and Own Your Everyday by Jordan Dooley. I also think it is vital to create a life that you draw inspiration from daily. An example of this is allowing yourself the room to go on a long walk in the morning and romanticize that moment. Through this process, I can draw inspiration from my own actions and routine. It is fair to say that a good almond milk latte with lavender and honey can inspire me too. Inspiration can truly be found in most things as long as you seek it out. This mindset of seeking inspiration is the foundation of the Inspired Lady Podcast, where you can come with the expectation to be inspired to live healthier, gain a stronger faith, and create better habits within your daily routines so you can live the life you were called to lead.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Inspired Lady is the podcast and brand I created this year, and it came from a place of need in my life. As a biblical studies scholar, faith is fundamental to me, yet I found faith podcasts were heavy and often draining. At the same time, I loved listening to podcasts that motivated me, taught me more about how to care for my body, and gave me tools to better my daily life, yet they lacked the connection to spirituality I sought. Both types of podcasts are so significant, but I could not find one that brought both elements together in an empowering way. For months, I worked through the project, did secret brand shoots, started the marketing plan for Inspired Lady, and talked to women who were expressing similar needs. During these months, however, the podcast was a secret of mine. All my work was without glory or recognition, yet I rapidly gained excitement and motivation to continue. Inspired Lady is a passion of mine and rejuvenates my soul as I work on it. To be successful and work on many projects, you must be motivated by the mission of what you are doing. Defining that mission will give you the strength and discipline to continue your journey even when your motivation fails you. This lesson has been invaluable to me.

During this process and throughout the launch, I worked full-time for the nonprofit Project Rescue, created content for hundreds of companies, continued my Master’s degree education, backpacked across Europe, and volunteered with organizations. The best advice I was given that I cling to during the busyness of life is this: “You cannot do everything. Only do what is in front of you.” This advice has proven one of the most excellent tools that have gotten me through this challenging season of life and will continue to guide me through the coming adventures.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Having moved to DFW within the last year, I am constantly discovering new things to do and places to visit. One of my favorite activities is to head to Press Café and grab a light breakfast and a coffee. I then start my walk along the Trinity River for a few miles. I also would be sure to take my bestie to Magnolia Street in Fort Worth. Cherry Coffee is one of my all-time fav spots, and Brewed is excellent for brunch! If my content creator friends are in town, we are heading to IM Spaces for a photo shoot in their unique spot and then to the Foundry District for the most fantastic wall art. I would end any good weekend with a good meal at Blue Sushi Sake Grill.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, Matt, continues to inspire me daily and encourage me through my biggest dreams and steepest ambitions. I am incredibly grateful to him, my family, and the friends who have surrounded me in support throughout my journey so far!
