We had the good fortune of connecting with Tania Zapata and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tania, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was very simple. To be great and unique at what I do. There’s dozens of companies and vendors that do what I do but non of them are like me and my team and I believe that’s what sets us apart.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Unique Decor Dallas is an event decor business focused on bringing the very best decor to our special clients in the DFw area. We focus on making every event uniquely special by adding our special touch.

My proudest moment has been able to launch our masterclasses. Having the ability to become an educator to so many women who all have hope to have something of there own one day. We are excited to slowly turn our masterclasses in full on online academy’s that can be watched from all over the world.

We weren’t built over night, it’s taken lots of long hot days, sleepless nights and a lot of sacrificing.. with lots of help and support from our family & closes friends. It was never easy, but it’s been very worth it.

Biggest lesson I’ve learn yet is to never rely on anyone but yourself. Only you are in charge of your business and have 100% control of what’s happening. I over came the challenges by always remind myself that’ it’s mind over matter, everything has a solution.

Our brand is solidly focus on bringing the best to our clients, if it’s decor or taking a class we want to ensure you that your satisfied on spending your hard earned money with the right people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Mmmhm well to start off I love a good seafood place. To eat I would definitely recommend a little hole in the wall restaurant. “Rocking crab” on emerald and harry Hines has the best seafood!

To have a couple drinks or a great brunch Hero’s downtown next to the Acc is one of my favorite spots to hang out with my best friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Off the top of my head, I have to give the biggest credit/shout out to the grandmother of my children Ana. She’s by far my biggest fan & supporter. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am at today. So today I give her the flowers she deserves and thank her for everything she’s done for me.
